Who we are

In Ryan's early years, it was rare to see him without one of his dad's craftsman wrenches or a baseball bat. Ryan gravitated towards equipment from a young man and when he was not playing sports he was taking his own toys apart. His dad worked as a mechanic at John deere and after hours had a small engine repair business out of their garage. At that time Ryan was more interested in farming or construction, but did enjoy equipment restoration.

Besides the hands-on training Ryan received from his dad, he took the opportunity to go through Vo Tech class during his Jr high school year and went on to Heavy Duty Diesel school during his senior year.

A couple years later Ryan married Amy and moved from Lancaster, PA to her home in Kansas where he worked at a local Auto shop in Partridge for around 2 years as an auto tech. During Ryan's time of working full time there he realized he missed talking to people. Seeing the extreme need for quality, trustworthy small engine repair he started doing just that, out of a barn at his house. He spent 10 months working late nights after his day job, trying to keep the turn around time to a minimum. That soon kicked off and Ryan built a larger shop on their home property and had enough business to commit to it full time. Soon space was a big issue! Since moving to Kansas, Ryan would often go by the Cruppers Corner appliance store thinking that would be a great location. After Prayer Ryan eventually stopped in and asked the owner (Chuck) if he would want to sell. Chuck responded “funny you should mention that, yes in a couple months we will list publicly. Ryan and Amy were able to sign a contract before the listing went public.

Transitioning the building from a warehouse to a shop felt like a big undertaking which included garage doors, shelving, lights, air line, hoists ect. The office area also got completely gutted and redesigned, with plans to eventually have the front half set up as a show room for new equipment.

We have high ambitions and plan to continue to grow and become the one, stop shop for small engine sales and repair!

History of the Shop Building

We started in our shed until we needed more space so we built a pole barn. After a while we outgrew the pole barn and decided to invest in a larger and nicer building for mechanical work with more space for projects and future growth.
